Eco-steward Invasive Buckthorn Control at Rogue River Park

February 17 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Rogue River Watershed Partners, Kent County Parks, and Kent Conservation District are partnering to lead invasive species control projects to help protect natural habitats at several parks this winter. In addition to cutting and treating woody invasives, we’ll be scouting the park for invasive plants so we can monitor and control these invaders for future invasive project planning. You will have the opportunity to learn how to find, identify and map invasives using the Midwest Invasive Species Information Network (MISIN) app to submit invasive species observations.  You can download their free app here: https://www.misin.msu.edu/apps/

Saturday, Feb 17th, 2024 from 11 am – 1 pm  – Protect natural habitats at Rogue River Park by helping to remove invasive species.  A collaboration between Kent Conservation District and Kent County Parks, this project provides the opportunity to learn about woody invasive species and the identification and control methods used during winter months.
