MIOSHA instructor, Dustin Brighton, will cover topics on why each saw operator must have a safety system, handling techniques, and the state-of-the-art safest way to fall a large diameter tree. The day and a half seminar provides a great amount of detailed techniques and is updated each year. Please bring safety gear including hardhats and safety glasses needed for the demonstration portion. Suggested donation covers pizza lunch: $10. Schedule: Wednesday, Feb 9th 9-3pm and Thursday, Feb 10th 9am until practice is complete. Each attendee can practice cuts and tree felling at the Blandford Nature Center woods. Dates have changed from original January time to Feb now per instructor availability.
