Vaccinium corymbosum, commonly known as the highbush blueberry, is a deciduous shrub prized for its edible blue berries and attractive fall foliage. It's a multi-stemmed, upright shrub, typically growing 6 to 12 feet tall, with simple, green leaves that turn brilliant red in autumn. The plant produces clusters of small, urn-shaped, white or pinkish-white flowers in spring, which develop into the familiar blue-black berries.
