John Bagley – Conservation Coordinator

Began work as Conservation Coordinator in November of 2019. John works with landowners and managers in working to control invasive species on private and public land throughout Kent County, while organizing the daily work of the Invasive Species Strike Team, which surveys, monitors, and treats invasive plant species.

“Growing up in rural Eaton County surrounded by (and immersed in) farms, forests, fields, ponds, and a creeks, where I spent endless days playing, exploring, fishing, hunting and working in, with all of those experiences instilling in me a deep appreciation for nature. I studied anthropology and history at Western Michigan University, earning a B.S.. Some of my interests include watching Detroit and MSU sports, fishing, exploring/botanizing wild places, and growing native plants.”
