Treatment Resources

Treatment Training Events

There are many resources for tackling the invasive species in your own backyard. Here at Kent Conservation District, we breakdown treatment into a three step process:

Kent Conservation District offers Landowner’s Invasive Species Tool Kit Classes for self-treating bittersweet vine or other aggressive invasive plants. Below, you can also purchase an Invasive species toolkit, which supplies the necessary items for treating invasive species at home.

Workshop Description:

Come join the Kent Conservation District Strike team for a workshop on identification and control of invasive plant species, such as oriental bittersweet, autumn olive, garlic mustard, among others. Reviews control options and challenges using examples aimed at the average homeowners.

Treatment kits will be available to purchase on workshop dates only. Pre-orders are recommended. Please send an email including your target species if you are interested in purchasing a treatment kit for $75 (includes everything you will need to treat your invasive species: instructions, herbicide, safety gear, hand tools).
