Medicinal Plants of Kent County: Wild Coffee and Tea Substitutes of Michigan – Part 1/2
September 15, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join us as we host Dr. Robert Krueger, professor emeritus of pharmacognosy at Ferris State University, in a two-part series on native plants. The first part (Tuesday, Sept 15th) will be a webinar talk given by Dr. Krueger where he will discuss these native plants, their uses as substitutes as coffees and teas, and beneficial properties they may have, as well as any fallacies that may exist about their uses.
The second part Dr. Krueger will lead us on a walk at Cannonsburg State Game Area, (some limited) collection of some of these plants that grow locally, followed by a tea sampling nearby.
