Landowner’s Invasive Species Tool Kit – Controlling the invasive species on your property

February 20, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

$5

Winter can be a good time to control invasive plants on your property. Visibility and mobility is better in areas of dense undergrowth, and frozen soil means less harm from machinery. However, winter can make plant ID more challenging, and it changes the way plants respond to herbicides.

Come join the Kent Conservation District Strike team for a workshop on identification and control of invasive plant species, such as oriental bittersweet, autumn olive, garlic mustard, among others. Reviews control options and challenges using examples aimed at the average homeowners. $5 Donation at the door.

Treatment kits will be available to purchase. Pre-orders are recommended. Please e-mail if you are interested in purchasing a treatment kit for $75 (includes everything you will need to treat your invasive species: instructions, herbicide, safety gear, hand tools, spill kit).
