Native Plant Sale
The Kent Conservation District hosts two native plant sales each year. One in the Spring and one in the Fall. Because the native plants of Michigan have evolved with our unique climate and soils, they are often times better adapted to our local conditions than their non-native or cultivated counterparts. Native plants also play an important role in the life cycle of many different species of wildlife including many butterflies, song birds and mammals. Please consider using Michigan Natives for your next planting.
Our fall sale will be held on September 25th, 2009. The order form can be obtained by calling or emailing the office. At this sale we have over 50 varieties of wildflowers, 10 types of grasses and 4 types of themed garden flats.

Tree Seedling Fundraiser
Our bi-annual tree seedling and transplant sale provides financial support for all of our important programs, while encouraging valuable conservation efforts. The Kent Conservation District sales are an excellent source for hard to find native trees, shrubs and wildflower seed. Our trees, shrubs and wildflower seeds have many uses, and can help attract wildlife to property in either a rural or urban setting.
Our fall tree sale concentrates on evergreens, whereas our spring sale has a more extensive selection. Please send us your mailing address if you would like to receive our catalog.
Our fall sale will be held on October 9th and 10th. Orders for this sale are due by September 22, 2009. The catalog is available for download or can be obtained by calling or emailing the office. Please get you orders in early as our stock is limited.
If you have questions about our sales please do not hesitate to call the office (616)942-4111 ext. 100.
