Bi-Annual Tree Sale

Tree Seedling and Transplant Fundraiser
Our bi-annual tree seedling and transplant sale provides financial support for our other important programs, while encouraging valuable conservation efforts. The Kent Conservation District sells many seedlings and other products and is an excellent source for hard to find native trees and shrubs. These beautiful trees have many uses, and can help attract wildlife to property in either a rural or urban setting.

Our fall tree sale concentrates on evergreens, whereas our spring sale has a more extensive selection. Please send us your mailing address if you would like to receive our catalog.

strong>Native Plant Sale
The Kent Conservation District will be hosting a second native plant sale on September 25, 2008. The sale will include over 50 varities of wildflowers, 10 types of grasses, 9 varieties of woodland rescues and themed garden flats.

A native plant workshop focused on rain gardens and providing technical support for all native plantings will be held prior to the sale.

Sale Highlights Include
-Native landscaping grasses including Big and Little Bluestem
-Pre-planned Butterfly, wildflower and rain garden flats
-Woodland rescue plants

The sale will be held in front of the District office. The workshop will begin at 6:00pm. Pre-registration is required for the workshop as space is limited. The fee to attend the workshop is $5.00. The plant sale will directly follow at 6:45pm. Preorders will be accepted; please call the Kent Conservation District office for an order form. Plants will also be made available at the sale on a first come first serve basis.
